Masked Beanies: Ninja Turtles

Yeah, I know.......more superhero patterns??? But, again, I do have a boy so he's usually my inspiration. These continue my series of Masked Beanie (check out my Masked Beanies: Batman & Captain America post)!

The true Ninja Turtle colors are:
Raphael wears Red
Leonardo wears Blue
Donatello wears Purple
Michelangelo wears Orange
Of course they have to be made with extra rows to account for the masked part. So, because of this, they do look a little too long in the pictures....but they look good when put on!

(Every pattern that I currently have available to download is in Word format and is downloadable on my Scribd. If I do not have a pattern there, then I do not have a downloadable version of it. Please do not e-mail me with requests of patterns, as I most likely will not even check my e-mail. I apologize for this but I have a full-time job now and no longer keep up with the pattern requests. Thanks, and here is the link to my Scribd: https://www.scribd.com/ashley_holden_14)

Masked Beanie

(I always turn my beanies inside out after completing, to use that side as the “right side”, because I feel it always comes out looking better on that side)

***Note on my beanie patterns: I've realized that I had learned the DC stitch wrong, so my beanie pattern was done to the scale of my wrong stitch instead (which is really a long-DC stitch). So, you might want to do long-DC stitches, OR add a row or two to the bottom of the beanie (in this case: before the row with the Chain stitches that make the eyeholes). Also, my "Chain 2" NEVER counts as a DC in any of my patterns.***

Stitch Abbreviations:
CH= Chain
SC= Single Crochet
DC= Double Crochet
SL ST= Slip Stitch
ST= Stitch(es)

You will need size 4 Worsted weight yarn in Green & in whatever you choose for you bandanna color. (I used I Love This Yarn in Jelly Bean. And in Red, Royal Blue, Orange, & Grape for my bandannas). I usually use the size H hook on everything, but I also work my stitches pretty tightly. (Just remember that changes hook changes the size of your work)

Start with Green and change to your bandanna color when indicated.

Superman Beanies

Continuing with my Superhero craze, I had made a Superman beanie....

Beanies
I used my General Beanie Pattern for this.

I actually bought the pattern for the logo, so I won't post it on here (but you can buy it here for pretty cheap). You can probably also create one yourself, it wouldn't be hard to duplicate.

Then, you would just need to stitch the "S" on it. There's a great tutorial here.

Of course, I usually make them into sets with my Diaper Cover Pattern.....
 (Look at my post Diaper Cover Patterns for more about my diaper covers)

Better Patterns!!!

I have made a few changes to my General Beanie Pattern to add Pom-Poms and to clarify some things with more instructions and an added note about my pattern on the top! I also changed all my posts  to reflect this changes, so please check them out if you have had any issues with my patterns or are just interested in them!

I've also recently bought an infant mannequin head, so I added pictures of the beanies modeled on the mannequin to some of my posts and will get more up when I make more inventory. The posts with new pictures are:

And, I have added new sizes to a pattern that I only had one size for... my Mickey Mouse & Minnie Mouse Beanies post!

I wanted to fix my current posts before added new ones BUT I am still working on typing up things to add new patterns to the blog (as I posted about previously), and will post them REALLY soon! So, make sure you look for those FREE patterns, I have 20 drafts waiting to be finished and posted so there will be plenty to come! And some others that I will be selling, including my modified Diaper Cover Pattern & Overall-ed Diaper Cover (that I use for my minion sets).
